akii really like googles autocorect but i understand that they can't be like google, but it would be great for the autocorect to be able to notice wrongly spelled words where a letter is missing instead of just using what you writen and finding words that start with that, tbh if i know how to spell a word half way through i probably know how to spell the whole word so in my opinion the more important task of autocorect or word sugestion is to be able to notice that there is no second g in sugestion when i write it and to when i type youre it should change it to you're

GregThe autocorrect feature interferes when typing new text between existing words. I try typing an extra space ahead of the inserted text, but that only helps for another word or two.

Seth"Lol" is autocorrected to other things. How terrible must the dictionary be that Typewise is using?

Seth"Steph" is a name, and should not be autocorrected to "staph". For the same reason, "Randy" should not be autocorrected to "Randi".

Patrick KugelmeierThe autocorrection does incredible spelling errors when finding merged words as they often appear in German. It always separates normal combined words (ie Haustür, Fensterrahmen, etc.). This has to be corrected.

AnnaADHDAutocorrect should show the proposed correction in the bar BEFORE it does the correction. Right now, maybe because i'm typing fast it types my gibberish then does the autocorrect THEN shows undo on the bar. Because it doesn’t always autocorrect correctly it disrupts my flow of typing. With other keyboards as I’m typing I’m monitoring the bar and can choose the correct suggestion as I’m typing the word. With Typewise I just have to type and then as I notice it didn’t correct something I have to stop typing, navigate back to the word, remember what I was trying to type, navigate back to where I left off, remember what I wanted to keep typing. This slows down my flow of typing much more than any speed improvements from the keyboard and is so unpleasant I have stopped using Typewise. If they fixed this it would be a feature I would pay for because there’s no other privacy keyboard but the default Apple keyboard.

Albert MergedHello,
Automatic corrector keeps changing perfectly valid Catalan words. The system needs some improvement...
Thanks! -

Michael D MergedSometimes my keyboard autocorrects from a plural noun (or a verb with the "s" ending) by removing the s. Sometimes it turns the s into 's instead.
As I wrote this, it autocorrected "autocorrects" to "autocorrect". It would be lovely if it wouldn't do that, at least as an option.
Other word endings might be nice, but s is everywhere in English! -

Johannes- when I reverse a falsely corrected word, it should be added to a temporary cache, that is used for the current text so it is not autocorrected again.
- inserting spaces after a word that was not recently written, should not trigger autocorrect - typewise should assume, that the word is correct and leave it alone.
- I would like an option for autocorrect to disable itself after a certain number of reversals - At least we need button/gesture to do so manually and just for the current text. When typing SMS in mixed languages, with abbreviations or in unsupported languages typewise gets reeeeally annoing. -

Amlethus MergedSometimes I will try to type a word, and Typewise will keep changing it instead of learning that I want that word. Most annoyingly, Typewise will often overwrite shorthand for a game I play that involves single letters or two-letter pairs. Typewise will even regularly change "a" to another letter. It is very frustrating.

Daniel MergedFor languages that use diacritical marks in its written form it is normal that people leave them out (99%) when typing on a cell phone.
Thus czech "škrtá" becomes "skrta" and we are used to it in general. It is much more convenient than to long-press for these diacritical letters on the keybord.
So , the autocorrection does not work for text written without diacritical marks, the suggested word is most of times absolutely different then the intended one.
Could you adapt your algorythm to check whether in the vocabulary there is no škrtá (strikes out) for skrta instead of correcting it to skrytá? (which is "hidden") -

RTFMI really like Typewise but unfortunately the current auto correction is a joke - I can speak for English and German but looking at above comments it seems to be the same in other languages as well. Honestly speaking I'm about to stop using Typewise and unsubscribe from the Pro version because I find this lack of functionality really annoying!

JAutocorrect in Croatian is terrible, I have to turn it off because it corrects almost every valid word.

Alan StottHonestly the Autocorrect is so brojen I had to turn it off because it started taking typos I made and using those in place of correctly spelled words and it would do this even after I personally fixed the typo. Very frustrating and inconvent in a multitude of ways. I'd rather see a complete overhaul of the auto correct system that more accurately focuses on the words in conjunction with the predictive text system. This would improve the over all flow of texting and make it less bothersome if implemented correctly, I understand that the adaptive program of typewise is ment to learn how you type but it show work with a smarter system that doesnt autocorrect proper words in for mistakes.

EnricoI second that it would be very helpful to see auto correct before its being executed. That would speed up typing a lot as we could prevent wrong auto corrects before they happen. Now i feel i have to check after having typed which interrupts my typing. I cannot simply rely on auto correct. Even faster if u see the correct prediction / correction and can just hit space to complete.
