Flicking for special characters

Instead of long-press and long-press+flickup for special characters like ":" and ";" it would be great if we could simply flick in the respective direction (right for ":" and up-left for ";").

this does not really work, as swipe left is used to delete and swipe right is used to add a space
just shorten the time how long you have to press in the settings. i got it on short
