Yes why stick with a typewriter style almost qwety layout when designing a new type of keyboard? Don't get it...

Id like something similar. Using a Halmak with multiple layers on my ortholinear keyboard. Second layer accommodates numbers as the workman dead layout. If you’re an efficiency freak it’s a winner.

To be clear I would think dvorak-like hexagon layout. The home row letters should be adjacent to the hex spaces. Maybe this:

I purchased the app because it promises a lot 😁

I'm typing Dvorak everywhere, so it would be great to use this keyboard also with Dvorak.

@Admin: I suggest you merge this with "Customizable key arrangement" the content is pretty much the same.

In general the frequency letters are used in differs by language. This should be taken into consideration when drafting the new feature.

It doesn't have to be Dvorak, specifically, though I do already know it, but if I'm going to be learning a new key arrangement, it might as well be one designed for modern-day efficiency rather than one based on a layout designed to reduce jamming on mechanical typewriters over a century ago.

This seems kinda pointless? Dvorak was designed for hands, not thumbs, and this keyboard already has a layout designed for phone typing. I suppose it makes sense if you are just using the normal rectangular layout and remember Dvorak better. What would a "hexagonal dvorak layout" even look like??? There aren't even the same number of rows as a normal keyboard.

Still waiting for devs to add Dvorak layout for this wonderful keyboard! I pay 25$ for this keyboard because it promise a lot and expecting to have basic feature like Dvorak layout (like every keyboard on playstore that WHICH is FREE!). And yet devs still not include it.

I agree; this keyboard is EXTREMELY expensive for a mobile app. I really like the idea of Typewise overall but I won't be paying to use it if it can't offer alternative layouts that most other keyboards offer for free! Was super disappointed that I started my free PRO trial expecting to be able to change to Dvorak but it wasn't even in the list. My trial period has gone to waste :(

Also, Nicholas above makes a good point, but the exact same can be said for QWERTY. Both Dvorak and QWERTY are designed for hands on a traditional keyboard. Typewise is currently using a QWERTY-like layout in its design—presumably because QWERTY is what most people are used to and it lessens the learning curve. So for those of us who are used to using Dvorak, an implementation of that in Typewise would similarly add to its appeal, just as QWERTY does for people used to QWERTY now.

Another vote for Dvorak, especially for two thumb typing. Having the vowels on the left and the main consonants on the right is super helpful for alternating thumbs and speed. I think Dvorak in the hex grid would be kind of interesting.

Dvorak would be great, or an equivalent for a smartphone. Its anoying when a word has all the letters on the same side, like the the word "great" only using the left hand.

This happens alot less on the dvorak layout.

come on. just bought this app EXPECTING to have dvorak!
such a great redesign of touch input and still such old layouts....
please, add more efficient layouts!
