Customizable key arrangement
The current letter arrangement might not be the best possible solution for everyone. Give us the possibility to change it to our needs.

MartinYes i think also its a individual like. for me are the two buttons not necessary. I prefer the gesture.

KirkFor me, it seems that the letters are not necessarily arranged for speed. If one is typing with two hands then perhaps the most frequntly used letters should be around the space hexagons. If one is typing with one hand, for instance the right, then perhaps the most commonly use letters should be centric around the right space hexagon and the left space hexigon would not be used, but would be replaced with another letter.

DanHI... to give us the possibility to change it to our needs will be the best.
Especially for new users so for free version: for example I downloaded Typewise on my mother phone, but she is not confortable with esclamation point and question mark in the same button (honestly even for me should be better to separate and put exclamation point on comma button). Thanks! -

TomSince I write with one hand most of the time, I would also prefer customizable characters. One option would also be a one-handed mode for left or right.

BenI canceled my subscription once I found out I couldn’t move the keys where I wanted them. I really like the keyboard but that was the reason why I purchased was to move letters where I wanted them due to my learning disabilities.

FabeltiefAbsolutely, customizable keyboard. @-sign must be accessible without additional step. Thanks. Love the principle of privacy while typing. If you add customization, I will go for the pro-version

MaxYES please! This would also expand audiences since we can make Colemak, Dvorak, etc.

PeterTwo and one handed typist here would be also happy for the space slash cursor key to be placed on the edge for my average sized thumbs and would improve hit rate in combination with auto spacing added on predictive word suggestions.

Mat C. MergedMovable or swqppable keys. I.e. putting the "k" key where the punctuation key is.

KalDust MergedAs someone who was typing in DVORAK before switching, I'd really like to be able to drag the letters on the keyboard around in settings to better emulate that layout. Lt could also allow for hyper-customization for users that want to tweek Typewise further.

TobyThat's what I am looking for! The possible arrangements are not the optimum.. especially as the possible arrangements to choose are based on traditional keyboard arrangements. Would be very appreciated if i could arrange it myself.. thanks!

ETreup. important key feature if you ask me. especially want to reduce the height a bit, so gain more actual screen. In tablet mode it would be nice if there would also bemore screen left.

Ben WalburnWe should be able to rearrange the keys. In particular, the K key is in a position that requires changing your grip to press, defeating the purpose of the keyboard
-

Arno Mergedin Unix and Windows it's easy to create personal key layouts. I have α а ا א at the same place. Just allow to rearrange the keys in each script -- or even have two for different kinds of text.
-

ElaineThis would be awesome to allow for KALQ layouts, since it already has the similar spacebar placement.

Steven Hum MergedI realize the layout is somewhat influenced by the QWERTY layout but that may not produce optimal placement of letters based on their frequency of usage. Q and C are obvious swaps if the upper row is considered an easier to touch position -- other placements may also improve thumb travel and general device holding comfort (This obviously is an English language suggestion).
-

Steven HumThis is better than my suggestion just submitted to optimize the layout.

WillieI would definitely like to customize the punctuation keys.

Devin MergedLet users fully customize the location of every letter key, while also having the ability to add special characters (ex: letters with accents) that aren't normally displayed. Allow users to save these configurations, naming them and auto-adding them to a list of locally stored keyboard layouts. Optional: allow users to upload these to a searchable, online list with the ability to vote on them - the most popular layouts would show at the top. This would prevent the dev team from having to make new layouts and adding them individually.

WillieThis would seal the deal for me for Pro mode. I hate the default punctuation keys.

MunibIf this feature is added it would allow Colemak users such as myself to easily create their own layout. I have seen a hexagonal typewise colemak layout on imgur (it's the third or fourth result when you search "typewise colemak" on Google) and I wish I could somehow get that on my phone. I really hope this suggestion is implemented!

NibiHonestly if typewise implements just this one suggestion it will take care of so many others e.g. Numbers Row (479 votes), Delete button/Backspace (195 votes), Customizable special characters (153 votes), Support Dvorak layout (138 votes), Number only layout (153 votes), Keyboard selector button (45 votes), Support Colemak layout (31 votes), additional tiles(buttons) for 2ndary and further functions (29 votes), add cursor up/down (26 votes), Tab key (23 votes), custom buttons (21 votes)...

EricGreat idea! Personally I just hate having letters below the punctuation marks. If I miss slightly and hit a question mark it totally messes up my words. Would love to be able to move all letters to the top or middle and punctuation to the bottom.

QexilberI am a big fan of the one line layout that Minuum uses. sadly this keyboard seems to have been discontinued. Providing a whole range of possible layouts would open so many possibilities for Typewise.
Also I personally don't need the space Keys at all. I'm used to using a gesture (swipe right) for spaces -

Jefferson SmithI used a frequency optimized honeycomb keyboard to write my first novel, way back on the Palm Pilot, and I still miss it. I would love to be able to rearrange the tiles, get rid of the second space, and optimize TW for my single-finger typing needs.

Plus, if you implement this, you could let users submit new layouts for consideration as part of the product or even just share them and create a vibrant user community along the way.
