Switch between scrolling numpad/symbols and old hexagonal layout

I liked the old hexagonal layout for the numbers and symbols since most of what I would ever need was available on one screen. The traditional numpad layout which scrolls to reach symbols feels slow since I often type mathematical symbols, which are at the bottom of the list. It would be nice to have a way to toggle between the two layouts.
