Superscript character (numbers) m^2 = m²
A long touch on a number should generate the corresponding superscript character. For instance, hold number 2 should generate " ² "

algolAnd a long touch followed by swiping down should create a subscript like CO₂.

JonathanIt’s better to swipe up on a number for a superscript, and swipe down for a subscript.

ŽroutíkWorkaround for a small number of any UTF symbols: one can create a text replacement:
- ^2 for ₂
- –2 for ²
Because TeX-like _2 (using an underscore is not allowed in text replacement... Sigh
Still, it is a workaround requiring adding and deleting a space here and there. But much better than to search and copy symbols from the Internet -
